Formpoet

Formpoet is a creative studio based in Vienna, blending design, art, and innovation to create unique pieces. Specialising in the intersection of form and function, Formpoet crafts visual narratives. Whether it's through design, photography, or artistic collaborations, Formpoet brings a fresh, poetic perspective to every project, helping to tell everyday objects tell their story in a way that is both meaningful and visually compelling.

Formpoet was originally named after its founder, Thomas Poganitsch. Our task was to evolve the brand into Formpoet, and I played a key role in designing the logo and visual identity to reflect this transformation.

The products handcrafted by FORMPOET characterise by their fascinating minimalism written in the simple forms. Their modern design appears timeless in the connection with the natural materials. They surely add aesthetic and stylish touch to every interior they appear in.

The Formpoet logo was thoughtfully crafted to embody the style and mood of the brand's products. During the design process, we developed two versions: the primary logo, which fits within a square, and an alternative version designed for a rectangular layout.

After having the opportunity to explore Formpoet’s workshop in Vienna, I was inspired to create a new brand tagline: "Sophisticated Handcraft from Vienna." This phrase perfectly complements the evolving brand identity and enhances the overall tone.

The flexibility of the design allows it to be placed in the web, but also on different products & packagings themself.

The color palette was carefully selected to reflect the essence of Formpoet's products, drawing inspiration from natural and earthy tones. These colors were chosen to evoke a sense of grounded sophistication, aligning with the brand's commitment to craftsmanship and authenticity. By incorporating shades that resonate with nature—such as warm earth tones, rich greens, and subtle neutrals—the palette reinforces the connection to the organic materials and the artisanal processes behind Formpoet's creations.

After establishing the color scheme and overall direction, I dove into designing icons for various products and purposes, ensuring they were adaptable across different platforms.
